There several admirable organisations worldwide which dedicate their efforts to fighting hunger, illness and violation of human rights. We make a small contribution every month and support 3 of them – 2 with donations, 1 with voluntary work:
GiveWell distributes donations to charitable organisation which not only strive for improving life quality and duration but also do it in an efficient way to make sure that most of the money is used for people in need instead of funding the administration behind it all.
Oxfam is an international organisation which provides aid in case of crisis, supports farmers and fights for humane working conditions, climate protection, education and women’s rights.
Caritas Austria is part of an international network of organisations fighting hardship in all its forms.
Expertise4.me carries out volunteer work by teaching German to asylum seekers who would otherwise not be entitled to courses.
